Default Camshaft sensor

Guys
My car is an sti type uk 2003 and I keep getting the error code for camshaft position sensor b circuit bank 1. Will this need replacing or do you clean it ? . At first I thought it was dodgy electrics , if I took the radio out and back in it brought the light on . But now it happens anywhere anytime . Is there also a diagram to show me what I'm looking for ?
Any help please

I believe that the subaru part no is: 22056AA062.

I would check the wiring to the sensor and the connections first of all.

If that's not the problem, then I would track down a used subaru sensor on ebay - search under "impreza breaking" and you'll find a lot! I've used Impreza Breakers Ltd in Norwich before and was very pleased with them tel 01508 558880.

Remove the sensor and give it a clean. Quite a common problem
