had my wagon mapped by andy f 2 weeks ago got an estimated 315 bhp.
just wondering if anyone with similar power had their 0-60 times measured as im just wondering what the performance figures might roughly be? googled about a bit and done the torquestats estimator thing but wanted some real world stats. going by torquestats 150mph and 0-60 of sub 5 secs would be realistic? or not? opinions welcome

by change i mean you should do 60 in 2nd, i think i may have to change to 3rd, to be honest though id find bragging about you in gear times the best, no one really does 0=60 in fear of leaving their gearbox behond, go for the in gear times instead
here are mine
0-60 = 4.6sec
0-100 = 12.6sec
30-50mph 3rd 4th = 2.2/3.9 sec
60-80mph 3rd 4th 5th 6th = 2.7/2.9/4.2/6.8sec
i think there is nothing better than being next to someone at the lights and they fly of all laughing and made up they have just thrashed you for you to put it into 2nd or 3rd and then scare the living daylife out of them as you go past them like they are in reverse

lol couldnt agree more! just wanted an idea as people always ask if they get chatting about the car. the first thing they ask is how fast is it 0-60 an top speed :-)
torquecars have a good calculator for 1/2 and 0-60, based on weight and HP. It says you should get 0-60 in 4.5 so money's quotes match the calculation on the torquecars website.
The good thing is about that, you can tell it you want to get the 1/4 mile in 9.99 secs and it'll tell you what hp you need in your car calculated off the weight of the car. You can do the reverse if you were lightening the car but couldnt increase your HP.
might be interesting to someone

this one, is quite accurate.
I put in the options for what upgrades I got and it was bang-on with the HP that scoobyclinic mapped my car.

How does torquecars work, and what factors does it put in to make allowances?
Some that spring to my mind are:
Reaction time
Weather Conditions
Tyres
Clutch
Peak Power vs RPM
Wheel Drive
Resistance
There seem far to many factors to get an accurate outcome. Mine was almost 1/2 a second out, and playing with the formula it seem ilogical to when you think about the big boys.

its a very simple calculator rob, only takes power and weight to give a very basic estimate which was all i wanted really. what i dont get is the ppp pack on a newage is supposed to give 300 bhp and a 0-60 time of 4.6, so logically a classic wagon being lighter and running circa 315 bhp should be quicker then? its just a bit of fun for me to impress me mates an family anyway lol so its all good.

In terms of newage to classic, then there is the obvious 200kg weight difference or whatever it happens to be. The newage is much heavier and this is due to more safety equipment, 6 speed box, and heavier built (sturdy wise). So a 300bhp classic vs 300bhp newage should be an obvious outcome of classic wins. Take another example of Classic 300bhp STI RA vs 2005 400bhp Widetrack, I bet this would be an even match on ¼ mile run.

yep the weight difference would prob put them quite close. 315 in the wagon feels pretty quick to me and is def putting a smile on my face whenever i plant it. good fun!
