Default M.O.T tomorrow.

Well this is the first time I will be taking this scoob for mot tomorrow, after passing 5 mots with the previous scoob without 1 advisory I'm pretty nervous about tomorrow. I've been going to the same garage for the last 13 years so got to know the owner quite well but now there's a new tester so I hope he treats the old girl well. When doing the brake test he's always taken the car out for a drive with a device in the passenger footwell, should I insist that this be done or allow him to put it on the roller type brake test?

It can only be decelerometer tested as it is 4wd.
If he tries to put it in the rollers he could damage it.
Good luck with the test. we arent all bad you know

I would rather someone drives my scoob (bearing in mind the wife drives it on a daily basis) than have to pay for a new diff, if putting it on the rollers could damage them.

I never put awd in the rollers as it will possibly damage something, any decent tester will know this anyway.

That's what I thought till I was told by AJ from ET that it's safe for a 4wd subaru to be put on a 2wd brake tester/roller and he is well respected in the subaru game, so if anyone knows he should, here read the thread

Good luck with the MOT - i hate handing any of my cars over for things like MOTs - tend to watch them like a hawk !
