Hi everyone, I bought my Impreza at the weekend and tried it out at Knockhill on Monday. Its a 1995 RA STi, stripped, welded roll cage, mildly tweaked engine, standard 5 sp gearbox. This is the first Subaru that I have owned, bought to replace my previous track car, Escort RS Turbo. I have found the Scooby very easy to adjust to and within 2 hours I have matched my lap times set in the old Escort. It was old but very quick so that is more impressive than it may seem. The only problem that I encountered is a missfire when exiting corners, especially the hairpin (right hander). I have cured this temporarily by keeping the fuel tank at least half full. It looks like a small tank, swirl pot and twin pumps may be the answer but before I lash out with the cash, does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome - yes I think you've got the right idea. I've heard on here that the standard fuel pickup can suffer a bit below 1/2 tank levels when on the track and the cornering forces are high. Someone more knowledgable than me will be along soon to confirm I reckon

get a swirl pot set up pal it will cure the problem, don't want to be running a full tank of fuel think of the second you could save lol, worked in mine or even run a smaller race spec tank in the boot save more weight
