hmmmm, no metion of a remap for the huge intercooler, somthing just does not seem right with it (third sense),, its also a tad pricey imho.

just noticed it has an indution kit fitted aswell with no re map, that and the intercooler will make it run leaner for sure but how lean is anyones guess,.

 

looks tidy but can't see how 10 grand has been spent on it with no changes to the engine.

over priced for the mileage IMO

300bhp is probably just a number pulled out of a hat too

 

Looks like a decent car. Just needs to have some remap details and fistfull of receipts and stamps in the service booklet. If it had all of that £5300 wouldn't be a bad price if it is exactly as described and he can proove the power figure and it's not just wishful thinking!

 

i got a bargain on ebay yesterday

 

Asked him a few questions.

He has a readout of 278bhp in 2008 then it had the exhaust and bigger intercooler fitted by the last owner. He said it was running about 320bhp. So he can't show the 300bhp figure is correct or even what it's running.

Pity it's not a bad looking car to be honest

 

lol,, 278bhp plus filter plus de cat does not = 320bhp
so its been running without a map for some time by the sounds of it,. i would not bother tbh, its up to you though fella

 

doesnt say anything about a diff turbo, 320 on a td04? yeah right. About 280 sounds right if its still on standard turbo and remapped

 

He claims it's not running lean and he can show 278bhp 4 years ago. I've said good luck but if you can't show it had a remap after the filter, exhaust and bigger intercooler you're numbers are plucked from midair. He's getting defensive now and can't see how someone would bid and not buy it if they won when he can't show proof of 300bhp.... Maybe he needs to go and read the rules for ebay

Pity, if he could show it was a true 300 it's not a bad car.
Wouldn't be a bad replacement for my otherhalfs WRX but not without a decent load of paperwork

 

Im abit gutted as i was looking to view it tomorrow but since his last reply i asked him if he could list all mods from reciepts and any info for re-map and he as now stopped replying so looks like it being 300bhp isnt true

 

Nope, well it might be but the only proof he has is the previous owner told him it was running 'about 320bhp'. I think it might be sinking in that he's possibly falsly advertised it under ebay's rules as well.

Might be worth bidding 4K for it though.... bugger just noticed it's a no bids sale.

 

He's added a bit at the bottom now to emntion the 278bhp readout and then the other work and 'being told it was running 320bhp' Sorry if i mislead you!

If he was told 230, can show 278 why did he say 300bhp.

He got alll defensive with me saying it's not running lean so it sounds like it was tweeked when the other kit was fitted pity he hasn't got proof.
