bushes??
Had a wheel alignment done the other week at ATS, however they claimed that they couldn't get it finished as they were unable to get the toe correct on the rear. When I asked why, they told me it is likely to be that the rear bushes need replacing.
Does this sound likely?
And if so could anyone tell me what the particular replacement bushes I would need to order? They were pointed out to me beneath the car. Looked to be about 2/3 inches in diameter about half way between the center of the car and the wheels, easily visible. Is this the rear subframe bushes?
....thanks! I'm not much of a mechanic

Sounds like the rear trailing arm to chassis bushes, just had mine done, if you look on the powerflex website they are position number 11 on the impreza rear setup diagram, you can get the powerflex (polyurethane) ones on eBay for about £30

Cool thanks for that, found the diagram you are referring to I think

Hopefully that's the ones they were referring to, sounds quite likely.
Are there any others that are worth replacing at the same time? Bearing in mind am on a budget & there doesn't seem to be any issues with noise or handling back there
Cheers

Yes that's the diagram, I only changed these bushes as it was an advisory on my MOT as the originals were worn, I think generally uprating all the bushes to polyurethane tightens up the rear of the car, I don't know if any particular ones have more effect than others though
