Hello,
My sister just bought a new car, a Citreon Xsara(sp?) an S reg with a passenger airbag which we need to deactivate so her (about to be born child) can travel in the front seat in her child seat etc..
Anyone know how to do this?
I was hoping there was a fuse or something we could remove.
It is on my list of jobs for the weekend so was hoping for some pointers before I get a chance to look at it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Try looking for an ignition key operated switch, normally located at the and of the dash (the bit covered by the door when it's closed). I know that's where it was on my Alfa. Not meaning to be cheeky but can I suggest looking in the manual, assuming you've got one, or asking at a Citroen garage if you haven't

Thanks Suffolkscoob,
I haven't even seen the car yet, that is the next step to look in the manual and/or ask at a dealer..
Thanks for the pointer though I shall have a look.
Cheers

I had a Xsara briefly and can't remember...
But if its anything like a similar aged 306 (which is likely really) then there is an airbag deactivation switch you can turn with the key to the left of the steering column on the dash.
Of course I could ask why, as its generally safer for nippers to be in the back.
