Default Insurance.. Please Help!!!!

Hi,

Im having a little trouble getting a sensible insurance quote on the price comparison sites.

I have an Impreza STI V5 (99) im 23 (24 in aug). Iv owned the car for over a year with 4 years NCB and 5 years driving under my belt. Never a claim or conviction!

Last year i was with admral paying around £1400 which i thought was reasonable. I took the car off the road for the winter mainly to give it some TLC and now the weather is nice iv decided its time to get it out again.

The best quote iv had is £3076.. WTF comes to mind! Im being heverly victomised for adding a year onto my life, i dont get it??

Well i was wondering if there were any specialist insurers out there that would appreciate my situation. Every one iv looked at has a minimum age of 25.

Cheers
Dan

im 27 and had my MY00 4 years, 8 yrs no claims. Im with sky insurance, £550, guy there told me that the longer you have had the car with no accidents the better deal you get as means you handle your car as such.
Good luck but got a feeling that your not only going to get stitched up with high fuel prices but with insurance also.

Yes indeed, claim free ownership really helps.

Unfortunately we are strictly age 25 or over for all Imprezas though.
