EVO magazine photoshoot - Classic Turbo 2000 needed!
We’re about to get the first Subaru BRZ in the UK and, as part of a story for the next magazine, we’re looking to compare it with a mk1 Impreza Turbo 2000 in as close to original spec as possible. Despite their very different powertrains, both cars have similar power outputs and weights, and we think that putting them together will give us a fascinating insight into both how things have changed, and also on Subaru’s ‘new’ direction.
The problem is that the car we thought we had sorted out through Subaru UK turns out to be unsuitable for our shoot – it’s an estate and it’s grey. We’re looking for a saloon in the classic Subaru mica blue.
The shoot is taking place next Tuesday (!), the 3rd April, somewhere in the southern midlands. (We’re based in Wellingborough and the shoot will be within an hour of here.) What we’re looking for is a standard, unchanged Impreza Turbo 2000 saloon, ideally in blue and as visually close to original spec as possible. The car doesn’t need to be concours, but would have to look decent enough to stand close-up photography.
For one owner, this does mean the chance to see their car featured in evo and to have an early look at the BRZ. Obviously we’d pay all out-of-pocket expenses and make sure that the car was sent away with a full tank of fuel.
Can anyone help us out?
Best regards,
Paul
