Pulled by the Fuzz for having a little one (no. plate).
Got pulled on Sun by a non-traffic plod who'd clearly finished his donuts and was bored.
Him> Your plate's too small, can't be read by ANPR.
Me> have you got ANPR?
Him>no.
Me>The letters, the spacing and the border are fully legal
Him>Yes, I agree but it's still to small
Me> Ehh. How can it be? Then the penny finally drops. My plate is X1XXX where X=letters and only the number 1 which with legal spacing and font makes my plate smaller than a standard X999XXX 3 no. plate.
Took me 5 mins to convince him, though as he'd not got a clue as to the dimensions required or amything to measure with. Result- he took my word for it...
Shame they can't respond quicker than 3 days when my car was broke into last year! Never asked for details, proof of ID etc.
p.s. My plate is fully legal and was made by an excelent gent on here!
