Not sure that viscosity is available.
Oil choice should be determined by how the car is driven, what power it is running and what the ambient temperatures are. For example a 500bhp STI driven on a track in say Australia would need something like 10w 60. A mildly modded STI which is driven to the shops and back in one of our recent winters would be much better with a 5w 40 or a 10w 40 as the oil is never warm enough to warrant a thicker viscosity.
Oil choice is all about compromise and to that end choose an oil on the above basis. You will be fine with a 5w 40/ 10w 40, Millers CFS or Fuch Titan are popular and good quality choices. If you regularly hammer the car and do a lot of high speed driving then move up to 10w 50. You will need around five litres for your car.

I've just had my 05 sti ppp MOT'd today and got them to do an oil change,
( I do want to take it to Prosport for a full service as soon as I can find the time)
Anyway I supplied the mot garage with some Mobil 3000 5-30 fully synth for them to use in the oil change will this be ok or should I get a proper service ASAP?? All the other recomendations seem to be saying 40 minium?!?!

I belive a 30 weight is standard wrx recomended from subaru (5w30 synth) but as stated above it depends what the car is setup for and how you drive it + the weather (ambient temp)
