Beware Of Potentially Counterfeit Blox Wheel Nuts
Just thought I would share with the forum what I have found today.
I bought a set of brand new Blox wheel nuts from a seller on here, he had bought them from another member but wasn't going to use them as they didn't suit his wheels.
The packaging all looks genuine and good but there is a major problem with the quality of the nuts themselves; they are absolute sh1te.
I fitted a set of Volks CE28N wheels today and was going to use the Blox nuts; after trying to fit the first wheel I found that all the Blox nuts had stripped the threads and were totally useless.
I am glad that this happened upon fitment and that they didn't fail while on the road; these are potentially lethal as you could easily lose a wheel.
Now I know that some will say that I did something wrong but there is no way that the threads should strip like that, I re-used the Muteki SR48 wheel nuts that I had and there was no problem with them whatsoever.
I don't know if the Blox wheel nuts are just very poor quality or whether these are counterfeit items, but I would be very careful when using them.
I am certain that it would appear that Rays Duralight wheel nuts are not the only poor quality counterfeit wheel nut being sold on here.

But someone could easily be injured due to failing wheel nuts, BOV's are one thing but when wheel nuts fail the results could be a lot worse.

After receiving mine on Friday (Cheers Jeff), I fitted them straight away and was surprised what a good fit they were!
Being ally not steel, I was a bit dubious about torquing them to 88lb/ft but did anyway.
The next two days I covered over 450 miles including motorway and uneven country lanes. Checked them today after reading this and they are all fine.

No I hand tightened them after fitting the wheels and then torqued them up in diagonal opposites and as I torqued each one up the nut threads stripped.
And yes before anyone else asks we have yearly calibrated torque wrenches at my workplace.

I don't wish to seem ungrateful but no thanks I wouldn't want another set of Blox wheel nuts after my experience, the only place in my eyes that they are fit for is the bin.
