When you fit moretts to a bug type uk sti is there a different grill that you need as the one I have here is too big.

Not usually, they fit the grille the car came with.

Is your GRILLE an OE part?

Bug grilles are a bit mix and match as the front end has 3 bits.......lights, grille and the bits between the lights and grille.

Bug morettes have the bits between the lights and grille so what you need is the grille only...either UK WRX jobby or a UK STi one like this
