I reckon he means rear ARB. Question is why does it need replacing?

ok, he took it for a pre mot test, apparently it'll cost £500+ to pass, it needs: 1 tyre definitely needs replaced (possibly 3), small holes from rust on the floor on both sides of the rear passenger seatand the bow shaped bit that joins the 2 back wheels needs replaced.

so £500+ for that i'd guess the arb, ive asked him if he could be more descriptive and will reply with any response i get.

Get plenty of pictures and a decent description before you even attempt a viewing - there are enough cars described as "mint" only to be clearly not when viewing. Never mind ones that owners admit have problems beforehand!

on an mot fail part it will detail what the failures are.

a bow shaped metal bit wont be on there, but a detailed description will.

not worth the risk there is loads of good ones about

Think they're talking about the rear diff, front carrier. It supports the front of the rear diff. Only 'bow' shaped thing i can think of

'Y' plate sport wouldn't be worth much more than a grand if it had an MOT so one that needs £500 throwing at it straight away makes it pretty much worthless.
I bought a 51 plate sport a couple of years ago. Was mint, low miles and had MOT. That was only £1250 then.
Bid him £300 and that's the most.

That is the rear diff carrier. Leave it alone.
