The plough has a problem :(
Hi everyone, It seems the plough has a problem.
Check engine light came on, on my way home from work was overtaking so put my foot down to get past then when i got back over i noticed the check engine light was on.
Anybody have any ideas why or how this has happend, and can anybody give me any easy fixes or solutions? i.e. something as simple as oil etc?
No noises or anything still ran fine all the way home.
Please bare in mind i am a total idiot when it comes to these kind of things I know a few odd bits but not at all alot.
Thanks everyone

haha i like it too much now and it only gets better lol .
ok had a quick look at how to read the codes. The first one i get is 33 which is properly the speedo is not connected up properly as it had been removed for new bulbs so i take it this connects to why the speedo has stopped working?? and the other one is 12 which i have no idea on what to do with??
This is after a quick look at the guide on here.
again thanks everyone.

On the current one, the knock sensor one came up (22) but turned out to be a wiring issue and not the sensor itself

Also, if you're not too sure, record the code flash sequence on your phone etc., upload to photobucket and post on here. Then you have actual evidence to go by incase you'e mistaken (no offence intended by the way)

In case you can't find it on the search; JGM's error code reading guide.
Curses, that'll teach me to open a page and then wander off before replying.

If the speedo cable has come out it will thow the cel on and put it in limp mode,.
dont worry about code 12, reset the ecu and it will go away, it usually comes on if the car has been bump started as the ecu doesnt get the signal from the sol so it reads a fault,.
