Can anyone shed any light on this outcome please?
Hi folks.
Listening to my local Heart radio station yesterday and I heard that a man had been sent to prison for these crimes.
He was driving whilst under the influence of drink (drink driver).
He was also caught doing speeds of up to 120mph on a single track A road.
He hit an oncoming car to which he was driving on the wrong side of the road and the the 2 people in that car were killed.
And he was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
Now I know our justice system is up s**t creek without its paddle, but surely the above should at least warrent 2 life sentences!
Any thoughts folks?

Too short in my opinion - Id expect six years, which always used to be pretty much the max that anyone got for causing death by dangerous driving (when the max was ten years).

4 years for taking 2 lives. He might not of intended to take those lives like a murderer but nether the less he did. It can not be classed as an accident if he was drunk behind the wheel. I feel for the familys who did not get the justice they deserved.
