Default After your opinions!

Hello all.

As per my last thread I'm struggling with a misfire/hesitation on my scooby, have had the car looked at and they said coil pack and leads, so ive changed the coil pack, leads and a new set of plugs, now the car is a lot better, but it still hesitates, it feels like its running out of boost, now I've checked for all visible air leaks and found none! The car came with a bailey dump valve, I've been told this may be the problem? It does sound like its dumping when accelerating, is it possible it could be loosing boost? I have ordered a standard one to!!

Default leaking boost

sounds like its leaking boost to me which would make it go flat, pop your standard on and make sure it has a good seal onto the intercooler, hopefully that should solve it.good luck.

Baileys dumpvalves from what i have read are not a good choice on subarus.
At what rpm does the hesitation occur, is it when cruising or when giving it some?

I'd lay a bet on it being your DV. The baileys are utter sh1te, if you really need to have one then opt for something like a Forge unit or HKS. My personal opinion is to bin it all together and stick with original equipment.

As above it will be the DV, and if you have to have one then the turbosmart is also a good choice, but they do need to be mapped with it on as well.

It's happening around 3000 rpm, and only really under heavy acceleration, went out in my friends standard classic and it pulled really well!!

Do you still have the standard recirc valve that you could put back on to try?
