Default OE look mud flap recommendations for my bug

As above, i want some OE black looking mud flaps for my bugeye - not for aesthetic reasons but to protect the bodywork from the increasing number of loose road surfaces around my way.

What do fellow scoobynetters recommend?

I run these:

Not sure how bad the roads are for you, but i like them because they are not too big and flappy. They may not offer the protection that some of the big flappy ones, but i think it looks rather OE. Fits my needs perfectly.

I got some of these a couple of years ago, genuine and look at little discrete.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMP...item3a6ff2ee7f

Word of warning though with mudflaps, I have found that since fitting I seem to get stones trapped/stuck between the the rear disc and disc guard now and again. When it happens you have a heart in the mouth moment with the grinding/grating noise thinking that your rear axle or wheel is about to drop off !!

Wink

The ones you are looking at are hard plastic and if you are lower than standard, make an awful scraping sound when you go over speed bumps or big dips, also if you're giving it some over bumpy country roads it can scare ya stiff! They also snap off in winter when the snow gets trapped!

I'm on my 2nd set and once these are goosed, I'm having the plain black rubber ones

Hope this helps mate
