Default Mitsi Evo's getting cheaper ?!?! I mean really cheap!

I was just surfing through Pistonheads in my break at work when I was looking at some 400/400+ Evo's for less than 4k. Also a 2.3 Stroker for 3.5k

Ok they have never been my cup-of-tea, but once of a day they were more than Scoobs year-4-year, now they seem to be cheaper

Anyway I just though I would bring this up, let the bun fight commence

Yeah I know what your saying, but still they are certainly coming down in price alot. Trouble is I have never had one, and its an itch that will be scratched in the future sometime, but an Evo 7 MR upwards, not keen on the plastic styling of the classic ranges bar the Tommie.

I'd still be tempted by a nice 5 or 6, but lots of them are suffering badly with rust now

^^ thats the best bet mate, i bought my type r a year before they became 10yrs old for £7200, and there weren't many about for sale, about 10 months later uk was flooded with them for 4/5k.

Im sure the same will happen with the evo's, then MLR will be flooded with text speaking chavs asking about dump valves, will be a good time to start an evo engine rebuilding business.

Not keen on the red - blue or white. 18mth old 2500m X 360's mid £20k's when I was looking on AT the other night. That is some serious depreciation but a bargain for the 2nd hand buyer if you can handle the running costs. Similar to the current WRX STI's but then they are £5k cheaper to start with.

I like Evos and was interested in buying one a year and half ago when I got my Hawk STI, they were just so much more expensive than a similar year Impreza though that I didn't think it made sense.
The 10's very nice though, makes the inside of mine (2007) look VERY dated!

It is only the rust that'll stop it getting as bad as this place. By the time most are affordable to the intellectually challenged, they're not long for the scrapyard.

Did the whole Evo thing, To be honest I wouldnt bother with any other model unless it was a Evo RS or one that hasn't got the ****ty AYC!!! Probably get the same answer on the MLR with a scoob, they wouldnt have a scooby unless it was a Type RA, spec C, or Type R.

Its all personal preference, there aint such thing is one is better than the other. There is quite a few evos about my way now, times havent half changed.

Only Evo i'd buy is a grey MR 8, and i'd only buy it if my old man wanted pennies for it

Its the same story with cossies, 10-15 years ago they were pennies, chavy now look at them, performance wise they are pretty **** compared to the above mentioned.
