Default Right ive got the car! Question about wheels.

So I got the car today. Its running 18" OZ Superleggeras with 235/35/18's and its drives like it has no tyres on. I also gor some 16" wheels with the car and im wondering if I got some new tyres for them and fitted them would the ride be better?
Im considering getting rid of the 18s as im not sure I like the style to be honest. Ideally id get some P1 wheels.

Any help and advice greatfully recieved

Fitting tyres to tyres is kinda difficult

I'm guessing you mean fitting 16" wheels with 16" tyres, in that case, it will be more predictable and a little more compliant but with slightly more tyre movement the overall grip is slightly diminished.

I found on my old classic that the ride/handling on 17x7.5 40 profile tyres gave the best overall performance..so thats 215/40/17 with a straight tyre wall, but the ride (for comfort) was best on the original 16's ... but we don’t own these cars for the comfort now do we

Stick to 17s if you are using it for road, 18+ for the track!

I run 18s on the road with 35 profile and2 of my alloys have cracked, i blame the alloys, suspension and rubbish roads, and myself for hitting pot holes lol.

If my car wasn't for track i would be running 17" wheels.

16" are good, but no real room for 330mm discs if you upgrade your brakes.

Thanks

I have the same issue with mine, except I feel as though any wheels smaller than 18s will look lost in the arches.. i wouldn't say they fill them too well as it is! Looks over comfort i guess lol

18" do look perfect.

In good condition anywhere around £300 - £400 i would say.

Thanks
