I think it's mainly the ride hight but it's mainly down to the fact I want to improve the handling cause I think I have a broke shock on the front

coilovers are very very harsh for the road, personally i would look at a decent set of shocks and springs if doing it again as my HKS coilovers are very very very harsh for the road,,,,, though they are mint when having fun with it until a pot hole,,,,, someone once said that my car has square tyres as you feel every little stone on the road with the car

A coilover is a damper and spring, there is no reason why they have to be harsh.

KYB + Eibach springs for me..... Had D2 , JIC coilovers. Can't see the point unless you track a car. As Bren said some of them can be simillar to shocks, but TBH the only ones that felt like those were KW Variant 3s on my m8s evo8 , unfortunately it cost him smtn like 1.5k

Huge thank you to Bren.
My BC's and adjuster extenders arrived on Friday and I had them fitted in about 5 hours.
Just made my final adjustments to the ride height on each corner today and could not be happier.
I opted for the 5/4 on my hawk eye STi which in my opinion removes the crash/bumpy ride of the STi suspension and allows the car to connect better with the road over the rough stuff. it also removes the dreaded STi bouncing down motorways/dual carriageways.
I am extremely impressed with the quality of the BC's and Bren's excellent service.

Thanks for your advice also on getting the 5/4's!
I am running them on 16/8 dampening from soft like you are and I dropped the ride down about 40mm front 30mm rear.
It's just so much nicer to drive over rough and bumpy roads. The wheels feel totally connected to the road now unlike the before when they jumped from bump to bump.
