Default Inter cooler question

Hi guys just a quick 1, will it make much difference to my uk 2000 classic to add a better inter cooler, ie 1 off a uk300 05plate? And would this be a straight swap?
Cheers

Might effect it then, but might also require a map tweak.

What mods, and who mapped it?

As far as I know it has a bigger turbo, full ninja system, decat, induction kit,
The remap was done by a company called engine tuners I think but that was a couple of years ago, it was pimmo2000's car from here
Also while we're on the subject can I just go and have it remapped or would I need to get in touch with the place that originally mapped it?
Cheers

Lol yeah just rang them, he said if they mapped it it would be an Ecutek one, said it would be a pain to check through to garuntee me it had been done there and when, thought it would be easier to ring them to find out, just me being impatient and not waiting till I get home and check through the folder of receipts! Lol
So would this intercooler be a straight swap? And can I now go to bob rawle in Swindon or Len at subaru4u for a remap?

You can go anywhere for the map. That car has a vf23 on it if i remember?? Was running about 300 ish last time i saw him. Is a pain in the **** putting bigger intercooler on. where are you based? On the wirral as if so can meet and show you the sti version 8 I put on mine. My car is very similar to yours. Even same colour and year. Ade

Nice 1 cheers Ade, I'm actually down in Oxford, so with the mods it's got, how would be the best way to go about 320-340bhp?
