Unhappy

Last week I was happy. I had just ordered a blue/black Mica MY01, with gold alloys.

My thinking was, I like black, and I also like gold.

Also there isnt many pictures I have found of a black MY01, and certainly not with gold wheels. This led me to beleive that there would not be too many.

Anyway, I was happy in the knowledge that it would look quite nice (for a MY01 anyway)

Today, however to my horror, I spoke to a friend that told me she saw a black MY01, with gold wheels and it looked sh1te.

"You must be joking!" I said. But alas she was not. She said the big letdown was the gold wheels looked more like brass!!, and did not complement the car at all!!

Anyway, I have four questions :-

1. Does anyone know the person with this car.
(it was spotted on the Downshire way, Bracknell last Wednesday around lunchtime)
If so, please contact me. I want to see your car in the flesh.

2. Has anyone else seen one, and what did it look like.
Please post any pictures you might have.

3. If it is gonna look like a croc of b0ll0x, can I ammend my order.
(The car is being imported, and I have another 5 months to wait)

4. Is there an easy way to choose colour scheem for a new car??

I have alredy looked at

Seen one in the flesh (with silver wheels) at the garage I've ordered my DBM car from. It looked black as it was inside a workshop but the owner said that once it was outside on a sunny day, the blue flecks came through and it looked a great car.

Steve

PS Any MY01 looks like the mutts nuts when the crap rear spolier is replaced with a big WRC type effort.

Saw one in Milton Keynes Shooping centre on display. Black full Subaru body kit, gold 18" OZ wheels, tinted windows, looked pretty cool apart from being covered with the greasy fingerpints of all the browsers.

I don't believe it......gold wheels mentioned at least 5 times and no sign of PS Lewis..........Aahhh No hang on....I can hear the sonic boom of someone arriving at full military thrust with afterburner......PS Lewis will soon claim this thread as his own territory.......

p.s Gold Wheels = Sh1te IMHO (sorry )
(not bad on blue mica but THATS it!)

Olly

Calm yourself, they look brilliant in Black (As good as MY01 can!!). Seen one on M25 last week and also saw one on Top Gear which was at a car supermarket. Don't worry M8.

Olly,

what difference does it make whether it's a black MY01 or any other year with gold wheels?

I have a black MY97 with 17" gold wheels and so long as you pick the right wheels (in my case Speedlines) they do look good on the car (and I speak as someone who really didn't want gold wheels on the car).

Pete is still on his 'gold wheel ban', so can only say good things or nothing...

For the time being you can talk of gold wheels with impunity

(BTW my DGM my98 has got gold wheels, although they were on it when I got it )
