Has anybody had problems with srvice **** up's??....I bought my Dec97 model back in December last year from Listers of Worcester, Well my first service has come up despite only doing just over 3,000 miles in the car.
Today i went to my local dealer to have the car serviced and was told because the car was 3 yrs old in December my cam belt should be changed, Listers have argued that it will last till 45,000 miles, Despite the Subaru service book saying 3yrs or 45,000 miles..... My Question is Why wasn't it done before I bought the car as it was 3 yrs old, CAN a car be over serviced????????.... I now have had a few polite words with Listers who have now agreed to pay for a 45,000 mile service as it should have been done when I bought the car........Has anybody had any simular problems????
Cheers
Colin.

Well done Listers ! They just gave you £400 + service which some garages could have told you to stick ! Maybe they should have done a deal on the service when you bought it, but now they have done the right thing and everyone is happy.

It sounds more like an oversight than a **** up. To Lister's great credit they sorted the matter out with, what seems to be minimum fuss.
It's not what a company does, it's how it sorts it out when they do mess up that's important.
No connection with listers etc etc

I think you have a result. We like Listers service the upto date when it is sold, unless that fact is taken into account when the car is sold.
Over serviced - you could service it every day if you wanted to, but seriously no harm is done servicing early. Late is more of an issue.
