Default tdo5 fitting

hi all, been told a early tdo5 will fit my99 impreza if i cut elbow off ???
is this true sounds ruff to me but if i can save a few quid ( i can buy one for £40) i would for now

i looked at doing this as my td04 is knackered! there is not enough room if you just cut the elbow off, you would need to weld an extra 1.5 inches on to make the intake pipe fit, if you know somebody who can weld ally cheap for you go for it, or you could buy a new compressor wheel housing the converts to front entry. hope this helps wiggy1
