What was the prob. MATTeL?

I have always found Adams, Bill & Suzanne etc. much more helpful that IM

I must get round to writing to IM about my "no way" on my Terzo piston slap claim.

Thumbs up

I have my car back! Two and half days to get the clutch and flywheel out, checked, warrenty cliam turned down by Subaru () then the really fun bit finding the Subaru had put a freeze on the flywheels.

No stock movements happening... don't know what you did Bill and co. but you got me one and now my car is all lovely again!

Shame I stalled twice (in foront of everyone at the dealers) as the biting point is much sharper and more defined than it was previously!
I can almost forgive not getting the STi as the courtesy car now!

Talking

I basically developed clutch slip in 3rd 4th and 5th during the mid-range.

It turned out to be a burnt clutch, in fact half the clutch plate was gone! As a result of the abuse the flywheel had cracked in places!

Subaru refused to replace under warrenty as the clutch was not distorted but damaged by the driver.

That was Monday and Tuesday (Subaru taking a day to get back to Adams) then they were informed that there was a stock freeze on the flywheels.

Bill managed to get one anyway and it was all fitted and fixed by 14:00 today!

Again hats off to Adams, a friendly bunch that syill find the HKS Hiper amusing!
