Default Manifold away for powdercoat

Thats my inlet manifold in for powdercoating today, using pps in Aberdeen. Going for gold to match my oz alloys. Hopefully it will look nice and not chavy lol

AS was mentioned a few times to me when i had mine done it hasnt been shot blasted has it ?

Here's mine that was just acid dipped not blasted as this can cause serious damage to the cylinder heads/engine.

hey leecalcars, was it easy to get off? were did u get it dipped/painted?

The guy said it would be blasted first. I take it the damage would be done if the material used for the blast wasn't cleaned out properly?

We have an acid bath in the workshop so did it one saturday morning, then thouroghly washed it off with water then dried before taking it to CJ powder coaters where i live charged me £50 but spot on job.

cheers lee, was it easy to get off, ive only had my classic 4 months, so still getting used to were everything is in the engine.

I buffed off all the casting marks before I stuck it in to the powder coaters, hopefully it will look the biz

Load of people on pistonheads recommended the place I'm using so I'm hopeful it will be ok

Had a look at one that had been blasted recently. It had been cleaned afterwards and you could still see debris inside.

How about ceramic coating ? I'm looking to get the complete exhaust on my Ducati coated in the stirling silver colour from these people. http://www.zircotec.com/page/performance_cars/16

Herd pps are really good.

My brothers mate got a set of alloys powder coated by them before and they looked pretty well done

luckly i do powdercoating... and im stripping my car at the moment to powdercoat a few things. one of the being the inlet.. but i spray straight from the gun, then it goes in the oven, so just mask the holes were i dont want powder getting in.. job done
ill get some pictures up soon..
any one need any powdercoating done give me a shout
