Which way would you go ???
I have just brought myself a type R shell at last just an itch i had to scratch so now i am making plans but not sure what arches to go with.
What ever way i turn they will be done by ABW.
Now would you go for a 22B full kit or just the wheel arch bolt on one that they do.i have a set of rota wheels they are 18x10 with an et of 20 i want to put 265/35/18 toyo R888 so need clearance also bc coil overs but im not sure what looks best and can i get those wheels under a 22b kit i no they fit with the arch kit as the guy i got them from had them on his car.
so what do you think

My person choice would be the ABW arches rather than the 22b kit, You need to have a good bodyshop and even then they can be a pig to get right, So considering the prep work and time involved i would go the arch route and spend the cash elsewhere, As the price difference could be a full whiteline set up and more, Just my opinion, good luck in whatever you decide,

Tramline central with 35, 18's.
As for the arches personal taste, but the cost of doing the 22b would put me off plus i don't like the look of the 22b either, but thats just me, if i really wanted to go wider i'd go for extensions.

Why not try something that has not been done 100 tines before both can look good both can look gash depending on the fit and imo colour of the car. If its a long project why not have a think take a look over on one of the state side forums and try n find a newer way to go. All my opinion but yes these two options are tried and tested and have to great results but there's always room for something a bit different and new

My advice would be to try the arch extensions but get some extra work put in to the fit/finish. The thing that really bugs me about them is the 1 piece design, I wish someone would fit them and make a cut to them between the bumpers and wings rather than the 1 piece going over the top of the car's bumper/wing gap.

Don't do the above to a type r. It will look pants, that is a Photoshop of a actual blobeye trying to put a blobeye front end will look rubbish IMO.
If it were me how about bonding the abw arches and flushing them into the shell rather than the bolt on look, along with a time attack style front splittler to edge away from the normal sti 6 or p1 style front
I would jump over to NASIOC and have a hunt for inspiration

The link below is the only 2 door blobeye that I know off. (happy to be corrected if wrong) Anything is possible, but putting a blob front end onto a classic type-r would be lets say,"a challange". Good luck, whichever way you go.

I hate the daft stick on arch entensions, looks too halfords.
I know its been done loads but hey this is Subarus were talking about, i'd go 22b.
Maybe the idea of a hawkeye front and rear on the type r, but i wouldnt do it myself.
