Default speed correction.

i have the my95 wrx which used to have the jap short ratio box on it. i have since swapped for a uk box and have noticed my speedo is about 10mph out. example it says im doing 40 but in reality im doing 30 ish. do i just remove the corrector that attaches to the cable on the rear of the clocks?
