Default WHAT MPG ARE YOU GETTING??

HI Folks

Was just wondering what MPG most people get

In my new 340bhp STI I have managed to average 26mpg for the first 1500 miles- is that good or bad?? i thought it was quite good- anyone agree?

cheers

Andy

+1 for the above,I put £21.00 of momentum in yesterday,66 miles later petrol light is on ,just put £30 in 20 mins ago ,may get me to sunday.
Incidentally £30 in my honda civic will last me nearly 2 weeks and get about 220 miles

Just did 425 mile on 1 tank. All motorway driving at 60ish, was boaring but wanted to know what I could do on a tank. Think it works out about 32-33mpg.

Remapped classic wagon on 95 RON.

I've never worked it out, I'm too afraid too! As I have a diesel for work and daily driving its not so much of issue.

I had to reply purely because I amazed no one had come out with the classic "if your worried about economy its the wrong car for you" line!

According to the app I use on my phone, fuel log (andriod system) it says im getting 23/25
However if I drive it properly I have witnessed it drop a 1/4 tank on my way to work...... an 18 mile blat!!!! I think thats around 10mpg

I have a classic WRX with full decat/uprated pump/hks filter. To be fair its all about the 'smiles to the gallon' anyway

Getting best of 26 in a standard Spec D. Steady driving and commute everyday 50 miles round trip on a mixture of A roads and motorway. Not good enough driver to go mad. I hate to think what's going on when you're averaging below 20. Things happen quickly enough for me . I try not to think about fuel economy and just enjoy it.

Average driving with the occasional lead boot I get about 300 miles out of a full tank on my WRX Bug.
When driving your scoob stop looking at the petrol gauge and ........

Yeah I usually get 140 miles to £40, Shell V-power, £1.41ish per litre

Which is roughly 28.38 litres

28.38 litres = 6.24 Gallons

140miles / 6.24 Gallons = 22.4MPG

MY99 UK Turbo, sports CAT, stainless centre and back box
