No more Grudgement days at Elvington

Unfortunatly we will not be running the Grudgment day events in 2012 due to the noise issue at Elvington,we only have three events on the Drag strip this year 2 bike only drag championship events and the TOTB event in July,,,,Trev

Just to put the record stright we are not running the Grudgement day series this year due to complaints regarding tyre squeal from our event last September,Strightliners have realy tried to make things better with our events we got complaints regarding the PA system so we cut it back then did away with it altogether when we invested in the new scoreboard,then the complants started regarding the tyre squeal
The problem is if Elvington are found to be in breach of the noise abatment notice then they are in line for a £20,000 fine
We have cut back our events at the venue to try to help and to keep this historic venue for future motorsport particularly the record events as this is one of the only runways we have left
We are in talks with another venue regarding the Scooby shoot out and we will let you know as soon as we can,,,Sorry for the disapointment,Trev

Not that i want to start a bun fight on here, but it doesnt help that the Scrutineering on my last two seassion didnt turn 'anyone' away for excessive db noise
In fact I recall the Lord of the manor or whoever he was coming round one of the sessions with the officials doing random spot check db tests

ive heard it is one person who complains ,his house apparently is at the end of the runway. they are working on something else not sure where its going to be but if the surface is better and its up north i`ll be happy
