Default Newbie fixing up a Scooby :)

Hiya, I'm Ellie
First time I've had a Subaru and although I've only heard the engine of this, not driven it yet, it still has me smiling already!

Managed to get this far today after an exam this morning:

Fingers crossed the parts all arrive tomorrow so I can go about that first drive!

I apologise in advance for the fact I'll probably ask a few dumb questions along the way but I'm used to classic VW's

Thank you I literally can't wait to drive it, I get the feeling its going to be amazing! My daily driver at the minute is a 50's vw beetle so has character by the bucket loads but speed and handling...not so much?!

I'm still wincing at it being supported on bricks...
Welcome anyway.

Don't worry there's wood between the bricks and the car, unfortunately we jacked it up, went to find axle stands which have disappeared, then my mums car broke down and while looking at that the jack stopped working, doesn't lift anymore waiting on a new one arriving otherwise once I've fixed it I can't get it down!!

Between work and exams have made a bit of progress, both wings are off, new battery's in, front tyre been changed, bent wishbones out, driveshafts out gearbox end...struggling with the bloody nut at the other end though!
Managed to give it a good clean too as it was full of rubbish, could've taken a shovel to the boot
old wishbone, tiny bit bent:

ps the cable ties on the headlights are temporary!! just holding them in while the wings are off

Also curious, am guessing this is part of the alarm system?
