I was looking for one through the specialist importers: http://www.svaimports.com/index.htm
for example (I didn't deal with them so am not promoting them or saying don't use).

What made me go private was that there seemed to be a large price difference in these fresh imports and ones that had been in the country for a while. Went private in the end, although it was many moons of searching.

As above, companies like Newera are still pricing Rev 4 MR2 Turbos at £8k+, when privately this would be a £4k car. OK, so they may be in better condition, but that is a big jump!

£ - ¥ strength doesn't help.

I've purchased all my imports the car centre in Prestatyn. He doesn't import as many as he used to because of the yen now,but he will let you pick one and he'll import it for you. He's picky about what he brings in,and only buys the cleanest ones he can find.
Sva imports always have nice looking examples as well.
Avoid keighley cars like the plague.
