gearbox code?

gearbox code?
where abouts is the gearbox code located as i need to get a replacement and been told i need the same code or it has to come with the diff to match? classic turbo 2000 uk 97.

Nearside front of the gearbox underneath the intercooler & on the side of the gearbox

is it possible to read the code without taking off the intercooler or anything or to see either of the codes in anyway just by looking?

You should be able to read it with the intercooler in place.
