Anyone running a twin scroll MD turbo
As above really, am looking at going twin scroll as opposed to rotated on my new engine build. Mainly as i'm not after big numbers just want something thats minimal lag but useable power on track. If you was to ask for a figure i'd say i'd be happy with 400bhp.
It will be going on a 2.1 with avcs, 6 speed box squeezed in to a MY98 wagon shell. Would just like to hear from anyone who has a similar set up and the pro and cons about the set up.
Mike

Thanks for the reply. I had been wanting to go rotated but after trawling through posts etc, it seems un needed for under 500bhp now. The 2.1/avcs combo i reckon should work well

Hmmmn, 500bhp on a 2.0 with full boost by 3k.
I doubt there are too many turbos that could achieve that. As above, you're prob looking at c.4k, at best.
But don't forget, never lose sight of the fact that you'll still have raised bhp (and therefore increased torque too) throughout the rev range, compared to a smaller turbo - regardless of spool. Spool-up time (and peak torque) ISN'T everything.
