HI Guys

I have just joined the forum after trading in my Focus RS for a brand new Impreza WRX STI type uk with the 340bhp upgrade. Glad to be back in a scoobie- have owned a 2000turbo and 2003 STI in the past -both great motors- loving the new car 3 days old!!
hope you like the piccies attached-what do you think of it??
cheers
Andy

The RS was a really fun car to drive- fantastic performance and looks- would have been tempted to buy another if they were still making them- only changed due to having covered 60000 miles in 2 ans a bit years!!

no plans for any mods yet!
the spoiler is one of the first which keeps the warranty in tact- had to have new strenghtened boot- apparantly the earlier after fit spoilers invalidated the SUBARU warranty

Had a blues FocusRS- kept it standard but it really went well-never let me down once in 62000 miles!!
the mpg in the impreza is much worse- i got 30mpg in the RS but down to less than 25 in the scoobie- will need a pertrol tanker following me around
the wheels are a SUBARU upgrade from standard 18 to 19 inch- they were descibed as anthracite in the brochure and I did expect them to be slightly darker-may be tempted to paint them black( subaru dont do a 19 inch in black) i have retained the 18 inch factory fitted so may swap over for the paint
cheers

Okay cheers for the info, yep think a play about with wheel colour / choice would just finish the car off.

interesting that the sti has worse fuel economy than the rs- 30mpg on the rs as opposed to 25 in the scoobie- that has got to be motoway figures. as 30mpg on a 340bhp rs around town is surely just not going to happen ??!!

asked about focus rs figures on here just the other week and was advised as low as single figures during serious play and high teens on local runs ??!!

how does the insursance compare ?? have to say the rs looks a cracking car to look at and the seats personally best ones I have ever seen in a car apart from maybe the Audi rs ones ??

Looks very nice just hope you didnt pay anywhere near the full book price on her, you have to shop around the dealers a little but they are going for far less (2011 saloon model) than they are advertised for
