I think that one might be a wrx vlimited. The owner has a for sale post on a scottish subaru site stating that its an import.

No its a normal WRX but because its a later model it benifits from the newer dash, breaks etc. The speedo is the giveaway.

As for the other STI I would be inclined to think there are major issues with the diffs etc thats why they are so cheap.

Some of these could just be typical piston heads scams.
Theres plenty of normally priced STI's and WRXs still around for sale.

That first cheap bug eye would concern me - gearbox trouble AND its had a new engine yet only done 45k?

Some of these cars will be cheap for a reason. People just seem to see them though ad presume the prices have dropped through the floor....

I thought so too but the badge is missing off the back, other than that though it's got everything including the wheels that the vlimited came with. Used to own one and wish I'd never sold it, pretty rare cars

Cheap for a reason, plus it will have other hidden surprises. It also looks like it's had a front end wack.

Its not a bad motor the V-Limited WRX for the price, As its been said its a pretty rare car here in the UK and comes with AVCS like the STI, For a pretty exclusive car £5k aint too bad IMO.

And if the Bug had a decent gearbox you could brake it and make £2k profit

He will have tried to source a gear box and realised they go for the thick end of £2k, then add the price of a clutch plus fitting and a cambelt service and all fluids round the corner, the lad is staring another £4k bill in the face having spent £4k on the engine he's making a smart move and getting out while he can.

All that cash and it's still a fugly bug

Seen the OP car around, so not a scam. It's got a ProSpeed exhaust so I'd knock a few more quid off.
