thats a healthy budget lol.
mine under consruction, looking at a smidge under 600 tho, too low to your past vehicle by sounds of it
altho mine a 2000uk classic shell, and not for sale, well not just yet anyway.
please let us know what comes along, and resist the evos mate, the scooby has more character, better sounding ect.
would love to see what you end up with, and the spec.
good luck, and keep updated please

Thinking of selling my white hawkeye . It was on the cover of Redline last year . It has a fully forged motor with Cossie pistons , billet crank , 14mm headstuds , Defis , BC coilovers , AP brakes etc etc. Not sure if I can bring myself to part with it but I would be wanting around 17k for it.

i never read too much into the evil side , just for that reason alone. ignorance is bliss to a certain extent.
have to admit the evos much nicer looking cars in general, but just because i know scoobies, it makes me prefer them. theres things about a subaru that are totally unique.
obviously beauty is subjective, but subarus grow on you imo. and once inlove with them hard to deviate.
i honestly think if you go to high power evo's compared to your history of high powered subarus, you might feel mildy let down. again just imo obviously, just mt 2p worth.
either way let us know
and if drift away, still let us know how they go in comparison, in all aspects

I would put an offer into someone who already has what you want but its not for sale. The thing with big power builds is they are always pissing someone off due to costs and the thought to sell is always in the back of thier mind.
The worst they could say is no thanks but you would at least plant the seed
