Smile Christmas Newbie Here First Post!!

Hi everyone be gentle this is my first post. I am 31 and finally bought my first Impreza! I've probably been down same route as guys my age owning in no particular order Nova SR's, Pug GTI, Escort RS Turbo Series 1&2, MR2, MK3 Golf GTI and most recently BMW Z4. It has taken years to convince my wife to us buying a scoob as in her opinion "they are all driven by skinheads, chavs, boy racers etc etc" yawn yawn. After spinning the Z4 in last years bad weather i really pushed for my dream car and last weekend i picked up my Blobeye STI Type UK. Insurance through tesco only went up £117 so well chuffed all round. When i work out how to put pictures up you can check it out. Anyway enough from me i hope this will be a long relationship

If you can brave it out, invite her to drive the car. And I mean really DRVE it.

If she's got half a pulse/brain, then she'll almost invariably get moist. Then her 'viewpoint' will soon change.

reminded me of the time i let my misses have a go in mine. She pulled away slowly and scared, A van was about to cut her up into the nearside curb. I shouted GO, PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN NOW!! She did, shot up the road using slightly more than the alloted lane and screaming She pulled over at the first oppitunity and said "thats amazing but i prefer it when you drive". Funny she has never asked to drive it again

Thanks for the welcomes guys really chuffed to be on board. Did quite a bit of research before buying my car and really thankful to scoobynet users for expert knowledge and experience. Had my heart set on a Hawk eye WRX but after reading about some probs with engine I decided on newest Blob STI I could find. Start new job in new year and can't wait for 20 mile commute!

If you'd have researched a bit more, you'd have found out that the JDM Hawks still retain the much more reliable/stronger 2.0L motor, not the 2.5 (well, their STI does; not sure about their WRX).

Oh well, I'm sure your new Blob is awesome, anyway.
