Hello everybody, need a bit of advice.
I took advantage of Godspeeds great offer of new groved discs and kevlar pads for my 07 Hawkeye Sti.
Now I need to get them fitted, as I am not competent to do it myself.
What can I expect to pay a garage to fit the discs and pads, including rectifying a sticking rear caliper.

pads and discs are very easy to do ,you tube has easy to follow videos,it will save you a chunk of cash,then use the saved cash to get a professional to overhaul the caliper,ian godney is your man for the job.

who told you the rear caliper was sticking ? I had someone tell a mate there rear caliper was sticking and so it failed the MOT, so I popped pads out, gave everything a bloody good clean, got the winder on it and pushed the piston right in, new pads, MOT test and passed..

As already mentioned, the hardest part will be the sticking caliper as i presume being an sti thats a brembo so a new replacement wont be cheap!
Can you afford to have the car off the road for a few days? if so you could get someone to pull the caliper off for you to send away then get the refit done along with the discs and pads when the calipers back.
As mentioned though, the sticky rear caliper might not be a problem as once everythings cleaned up and the new discs and pads are on, the seal will be sitting on a different part of the piston.

If you can get the caliper off, Ian sells bits to refurbish it, including stainless pistons, should you want them.

Changing discs and pad's is usually a pretty quick job, most competent mechanics can do that in about 20 mins per corner bar any issues with bolts sticking ect so you can expect to pay anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours labour. In terms of the sticking caliper it depends what the issue is, if it can be removed and just cleaned up then you'll be good to go, if the caliper itself needs a good tear down and cleaning up and it's not something you fell comfortable doing yourself then Ian Godspeed has a really good rebuild service where you can just send the caliper to him.
