What the word on Scoobs reliability? I am looking at getting one of these wonderful machines...reliable or not?

Everyone I have heard says yea...of course on this board I hear no...

What parts are unreliable?

Wink

I have a 1996 Impreza Turbo Uk version with approaching 98,000miles and it is reliable as f**k...

Others have more miles and still going perfectly..

Some cars have had piston slap problems and main bearings failing but as long as you look after it all seems fine and most have been fixed under warrenttee (I think) by now.

Just buy one with full Subaru service history if you can.

Yes they are very relaible. Get a Sport as they are faster than UK turbo. Fit a Induction kit and it can pull out around 240 bhp!!!!!!

Yeah, I think the big thing is keeping it standard!

A bud of mine wants to get 350 plus! It can happen, but I dunno..seems like detonation!

I keep hearing stuff about the new ones and detonation b/c of misfires. Anything on this?
