Done my first impreza cambelt today, but feel it would have been easier with some cam locking tools for the right hand cam pulleys to keep them still.

Does anyone have any links to where i could get some?

Also, do most people take the rad out normally? heard a few people say they do, but i didnt really have time for that so made do with just taking the fans out.

 

i took the rad out to do mine as i was fitting a mishimoto one anyhow.

the right hand pulleys can be a pain, im going to make a tool to hold them next time, could not find one for a 2.5 turbo only for na iirc.

 

not one availabe that i know of.

the 2.5 cam locking tool fits into the avcs pully behind the small silver plate .

 

Dont need to take the rad out just the fans and no there is no locking tool.

 

Iv not got AVCS on mine, would that matter?
there is, i remember seeing one online somewhere - think it was available from USA tho.


May ask my snap on dealer if he has any when next round.
