Prodrive backbox needs welding....advice pls

Prodrive backbox needs welding....advice pls
My prodrive back box is split and blowing...been told by the garage it could be fixed by welding, but as its stainless steel they dont have the correct kit to do it.....
Rang Mr tyre (Leicester) and been told they can fix it using a mig welder, however another place has said it better to use a tig welder?
Very confused....any ideas?

Struggling to find any garages that use a tig welder (in the leicester area)
Any locals here that know of one?
Neilwrx - is mig out of the question? even if the split isnt the biggest?
