Default Broken AST's.....

Well was doing a few little jobs on the car today and checking things were all good when I noticed a little problem with my AST's.
Passenger side spring has broken..... Snapped in two....

Great, another huge bill I thought.
As the car was built by Powerstation (the AST's were fitted by them) decided to give Rich a ring and find out how much it's gonna sting me. Was really thinking the worst price wise as we all know how much AST's cost to buy.
But was pleasantly surprised at what he told me. £50 each !! Not bad at all I thought.
He's gotta ring me back later to confirm a few details but thinking I may as well do all four corners at that price.
What a result.
The original springs do look a little rusty now and the shocks could do with a clean up, with new springs on its gonna look stunning again.

I had a similar thing happen (not humping fat chicks I hasten to add). The front O/S spring broke and same as Matty I though bugger here comes a huge bill. Not so phoned Powerstation and enquired about the price for two springs £120 plus delivery I think they were. Result!

Ditto - n/s front spring broke in two and i must have been driving on it like that for months

Replaced both of them with uprated ones, had the front dampers re-valved and serviced, had AST adjustable top mounts fitted and the geometry sorted, all by Iain Litchfield. I'd already had the rear springs replaced and the rear dampers serviced 5000 miles earlier, so they were fine.

Totally transformed the handling of the car so really well worth doing, but it came to about £500 all in

Well hasn't gone according to plan.
Spoke to Rich yesterday morning about my issue. He said springs were £50ish each but would 100% call me back later in the day or worst ways first thing this morning. Took all my card details and address for use later on.
Didn't get a call later in the day and didn't get a call this morning. Rang their number 5 or 6 times from 11 o'clock to no avail and now the phone line says they are closed.
Fooking terrific !!!
Need this part ASAP and even went ahead and booked the car in for fitment on Monday at my mechanics.

I know I'll get them at some point but it's just annoying....
Come on powerstation, pull your finger out lads.

Rant over.
