Subaru separates performance models from Impreza
The 2.5 GX from 1998 that I had a much better interior as the 2.0 liter standard models.
Subaru seems to want the same for the next generation WRX and STI:

Why only for the sportsmodels?
With a 2.4 liter H6, based on the new 1.6 liter from the XV, it would be a good model to attack the smaller BMW models like the 3-series, who has now only one 6 cilinder model
left, the 335i. And maybe it will fit in the BRZ?
Or am I daydreaming?

This is aimed at the American market (and possibly/probably even the Chinese ).
They want to sell more snoozeboxes for people who want to part ex their Toyota Corolla (which is now called the Auris over here )
The clue is the CVT transmission - never should a car be donned with this type of gearbox....but the American commuters love them.
