Default Winter tyres and alloys

Got an 2001 bug eye and want to use it over winter. Live on a big hill!

Where is the best place to buy winter tyres and maybe a set of alloys on a budget?

I'm currently on the lookout for a set for the wagon over the winter and the family car too.

I found Ebay has quite a lot on it.

Just watchout for even tread wear and depths if your going for part worns.

Most of the usual ppl like Camskill and the like don't have much stock unless it's 16" tyres your after.

Go for a set of used subaru wheels, pretty cheap and rossendale tyres? (its on ebay) do cheap winter tyres, if you want good winter tyres thats a different matter, that'll cost you around 5-600 notes.

My only problem is I've got the STI Brembos on so got to stick with an 18" wheel ..getting winter tyres in 225/40/18 is costly!!

I bought a spare set of STD sti wheels then bought some winter tyres earlier in the year when they were easier to find and cheaper. Will be swapping soon. I just bought budget winter tyres must be better in snow than my re070 tyres
