I dont let mine drop below 1/4 either and it cost somethinhg like £50. Guess it will all depend on how much you are being charged for the fuel in the first place.

Is that Euro's mate? When I was at the Ring in June it was 1.49E for 98 Super and 1.60E for 102 but with the 1.1 £/E exchange rate the 98 super still worked out cheaper than uk prices. Was 1.43 for Vpower over here at the time, £1.45 for 102 over there and £1.35 for super

i paid 144.9 last night for v-power, put £60 in.

do you always fill back up when on 1/4 tank then?

i reckon it would have cost the best part of £85 to fill up, if its a 60 litre tank as 10L was pretty much £15 last night

I usually refill when on a 1/4 as the nearest 99/vpower for me is a 25 mile round trip.

I've only run it low once and regretted it as I had to insult her with 97 and some octane booster.

haha at "insult her"

luckily i have a shell garage 3 mile from me, otherwise its a 15 mile round trip or 25 mile round trip to the next nearest ones

is it always handy to have some octane booster in the car for them emergency times?

I do yes, I have a Tesco and shell only 2 miles away from me, Ive been told driving below 1/4 of tank hard isn't always good for the car

It depends what the cars been mapped on Matt. If its a standard ecu then you can get away with 97 but mine was mapped on Vpower so it doesnt do it any good running on a lower grade. Ideally, the next time I get it mapped i'll be dropping to 97 then adding some other mods to compensate for the lower quality. I'll still run vpower/99 when I can but it means i'm not so paranoid about having to find it.

Between 60 and 70 usually, if under a 1/4 and doing any spirited driving you risk fuel starvation on it and fuel surges iirc

99 cents a litre 95 ron in Lanzarote where the sun shines all year, they`ve got mountain roads, and a rally! Should think super is about 1.08 Euro litre. Not surprisingly I saw quite a few Imprezas for a small island.
