as above i have a 93 import and cant find crank sensor for it at a reasonable price and i have 2 sensors of a r and t plate can i disconnect the plug thats attached to my crank sensor on my car and put the later spec sensor it and just run 2 new wires to the plug

anyone?? my sensor on my car has 2 wires but at the plug end theres 3 wats the third one for???

i thought all the crankshaft sensors were all the same mate,ive got a 02 sti bugeye and iam useing the sensor off my classic and it works fine,the only sensor that has 2 and 3 pin conectors are the temp sensor,the later model uses the 3 pin type mate
