nice, see if you can get the cost of a k&n typhoon knocked off the price, been told that a cone filter that close to the maf causes turbulence/inconsistent readings (true anyone?), good spec though has been loved but yes go hear it running (listen for a rattle as you lift off=worn big end, a common reason to sell as it's a 2k ish fix) and if you buy it ditch the turbo timer (higher insurance) and poss the trackstar, mine ate 2 batteries before i figured out what it was looks mint though

Nice and clean by the looks of it. I'm not sure on prices of these but I reckon if it was around the £2,500 mark that might be a good buy

I personally think that's quite highly priced for a car at that mileage. It might also be worth checking how long the modifications have been on the car as they are likely to accelerate engine/gearbox wear at that power level.

Sorry but with that milage i would not bother, 121k is a lot of miles if it has not had a refresh in the engine department and the mods it has running that power on a wrx it will mean big bills sooner rather than later, gearbox and clutch could also be a problem.

I agree with the £2.5k and thats only because of the breaks and suspension mods, £4k is way too much imo.

If you have £4k to spend there will be plenty with a lot less miles, and at the end of the day when these cars make it to 100k miles your living on borrowed time, not saying that they are not good for it, but it would have to be a one owner unmoded motorway cruiser for me to buy it.

I hate to poo on someone trying to sell a car but he needs to be a little more realistic with regards the age and milage of the car.

You could grab an o4 with circa 80k miles for that money at the moment.

saw a friend the other day blow 4k on a 2002 bugeye. I was like WTF! its mint outside, dont get me wrong. skirt kit, morettes, white 18's etc but its completely standard inside and has a de-cat exhast, cai kit, prodrive intercooler and its unknown if its been mapped. No suspension or brake mods etc. Should have paid £2.5k for it. Scary.

4k is nearly Sti money so i'd be looking around at whats available, as stated, 121k is 40k more than you want for that money.

to give you an idea, we paid £2400 for this about 2 months ago.

2001 bugeye WRX
88k with full history, cambelt done etc
De-cat exhaust and panel filter, uprated clutch, brembo brakes, coilovers, 18" WR1's with decent tyres, long mot and tax, uprated speakers and boost gauge.

then spent £400 and added a walbro pump, 3 port solenoid and remap by Duncan at racedynamix

Act in haste, repent at lesure.

If he pays circa £1.5 k too much for a car then it goes pop, and costs another 2/3k to fix it and ends up with a 7k 120mile 51 plate he will be the worlds biggest mug.

Tell him i have a type r in croatia with a blown engine he can have for 7k and i'll pay his flight and he can take it back on a recovery truck, and if he can wait till friday i'll have all the parts to fix it, foc

As above, you can get alot more car for that money chap, I have an 04 sti pushing about 390bhp on 105,000 and i would only value that at around the 4500-5000 mark.
