OK - thought I'd ask the experts on this one - it may even help my cause for selling it
Are there any performance gains that can be expected changing from a standard twin-pipe Subaru 'box to an STi one.........?
Surely, Subaru put the Sti exhuast on the STi to enhance power delivery in the first place !!! *AND*, looking at the dyno page - hey presto - an STi with comparative curves against a s/sport 'box - the STi one produced *MORE* BHP !!!!!! Anyone else to substantiate this / and or have any opinions..........???

I have no experience of an STi backbox Gastro.
However, if it's anything like a Scoobysport one, it won't make a huge difference to the bhp on it's own.
Where it may score is by improving engine response.
Then there's the sound effects...
Any particular reason for choosing the STi one? How much is it?

Only difference between the two is cosmetic - the STi item looks a hell of a lot better
I'm using the STi backbox on my PPP'ed car at the moment because the additional restriction it provides (over the Prodrive item) resolves the boost control issues introduced after changing the downpipe........
